TD Vision University
TD Vision University was founded by Edward Foster in 2018, but became official in 2019 when the first YouTube video tutorial was posted on its official YouTube channel.
TVU was birthed out of a passion of wanting to help others who desired to learn more about architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) design through the use of building information modeling (BIM) aided by drafting and modeling software such as AutoCAD and Sketchup. TVU was also intended for teachers and students in the Caribbean (where Edward is originally from). However, the YouTube channel has seen visitors from all over the world, and has grown to heights beyond its initial vision.
With the success that TVU has seen since it's birth, Edward is committed to seeing it's continued growth and evolution into something greater, in the years to come.
Fun Fact:
"TD" stands for Technical Drawing - which was a course/subject that Edward taught throughout his teaching career.
"Vision" was the shortening for Television, but vision sounded cooler.
"University" was added to make the brand unique from other organizations with similar naming. And it's fits nicely with the educational outlook or characteristic of TVU.
Edward Foster
Edward is a graduate of The University of Technology, Jamaica (2013), with a Bachelor of Education in TVET Industrial Technology - Construction.
He has taught Industrial Techniques and Technical Drawing in three secondary schools on the island of Jamaica from 2013 - 2018. He has also worked with the Caribbean Examination Council, CXC, as an assistant examiner, for technical drawing, for 2 years, 2017 - 2018.
Edward is also an experience drafter/designer/BIM specialist with over ten years of experience with AutoCAD, Sketchup, and most recently, Revit.
